Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations accurately and on time Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials as required, following hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) Manage automobile transportation logistics with precision, ensuring compliance with safety standards for dangerous goods Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with FMCSA regulations Skills Proven experience with commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures; skilled in freight handling and cargo security Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and hazardous materials transportation Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety compliance standards Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling expertise, and attention to detail Experience with logistics cargo handling and managing delivery schedules efficiently This role offers an engaging environment where your driving skills directly contribute to our operational success.
