CDL Class A Driver – Interstate & Intrastate Company: Lab Logistics Location: Houston Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary Lab Logistics is seeking a professional, safety-driven OVERSIZED load experience CDL Class A Driver to operate both interstate and intrastate routes. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and on-time performance. Responsibilities ● Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on both interstate and intrastate routes. ● Transport freight safely and efficiently while meeting scheduled pickup and delivery times. ● Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections. ● Accurately maintain electronic logs (ELDs), trip reports, and shipping documentation. ● Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, and customer needs. ● Secure cargo according to DOT and company standards. ● Maintain a clean, professional appearance and properly care for assigned equipment. Minimum Qualifications ● Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). ● Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience. ● Interstate driving experience preferred. ● Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate. ● Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). ● Ability to pass a DOT drug screen, background check, and pre-employment screening. ● Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and applicable state transportation regulations. ● Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. ● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Compliance Requirements Drivers must: ● Meet all DOT and FMCSA qualification standards for interstate commercial drivers. ● Maintain compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs). ● Participate in required random DOT drug and alcohol testing. ● Maintain a current CDL and DOT Medical Card. ● Perform and document required vehicle inspections. ● Follow all company safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
