Manufacturing and LogisticsOvernight Inventory Control Specialist Location: North Philadelphia, PA 19124 Job Type: Full-Time Shift: Overnight Job DescriptionPosition Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Overnight Inventory Control Specialist to join a growing food distribution warehouse team in North Philadelphia. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and ensuring products are properly tracked and handled throughout warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has previous inventory control or warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy. Investigate inventory discrepancies and reconcile differences between physical stock and warehouse system records. Ensure incoming and outgoing products are properly scanned, labeled, and documented. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems. Monitor product expiration dates, shelf life, damaged goods, and stock rotation. Assist with inventory adjustments, product recalls, and physical inventory audits. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory procedures. Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and quality assurance teams to resolve inventory issues. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and warehouse safety procedures. Perform additional warehouse duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of inventory control or warehouse experience preferred. Previous experience in food distribution, manufacturing, or a similar warehouse environment is a plus. Experience with inventory management systems (WMS/ERP) and Microsoft Excel preferred. Familiarity with FIFO and FEFO inventory practices. Forklift or electric pallet jack experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in refrigerated or freezer environments as needed. Reliable attendance and the ability to work overnight hours. Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse and food distribution environment. Overnight schedule.
