What You'll Do
• Uphold Walmart’s high standards of safety, professionalism, and integrity on every drive.
• Plan your day, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with your team to ensure safe and timely freight movement.
• Communicate effectively, resolve issues on the go, and adapt to changes in plans or road conditions.
• Accurately manage all required paperwork and electronic logs, adhering to DOT, state, and company regulations.
• Safely operate your tractor-trailer and conduct thorough inspections before, during, and after trips.
• Optimize routes by following local traffic laws and regulations, minimizing delays, and enhancing on-time delivery performance.
Minimum Qualifications
• A valid Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire (including a cleared background check).
• A minimum of 30 months of full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience within the last 3 years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents within the last three years.
• No recordable DOT preventable accidents within the last ten years.
• No preventable accidents resulting in fatalities or catastrophic injuries in driving history.
• Must reside within 250 miles of the assigned facility, or be willing to establish residency within 90 days of hire.
Note that the preventability of accidents will be evaluated by Walmart based on ATA Guidelines.

Drivers are compensated for each mile driven as well as additional activity pay for specific tasks. The mileage rate ranges from $0.55 to $0.69 per mile, with opportunities for average daily pay (ADP) under certain circumstances set at $240 per day.
