Truck driverJob Summary Join our team as an Over The Road (OTR) Truck Driver and keep freight moving safely across long-distance routes. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and use GPS navigation to plan and follow routes. Assignments may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation, depending on the load. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive freight where it needs to go while supporting reliable logistics operations. Duties Drive OTR routes and complete delivery driving assignments while following planned routes and applicable instructions. Inspect and operate commercial vehicles, including manual-transmission trucks, and report vehicle or load concerns. Handle logistics cargo, freight, and manual loading or unloading; secure loads appropriately for the trailer and shipment. Transport general freight and, when assigned and properly qualified, hazardous materials or dangerous goods in compliance with applicable requirements. Maintain delivery and route records and follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and hazardous materials regulations. Requirements Commercial truck driving, truck driving, commercial driving, or delivery driver experience; experience with route driving and OTR driving routes is relevant. Ability to drive tractor-trailers and manual-transmission vehicles and perform manual handling, including truck loading and unloading. Familiarity with GPS navigation, freight handling, and safe load securement; refrigerated trailer, flatbed, tanker, or automobile transportation experience is useful. Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations; hazmat or dangerous-goods experience and knowledge of hazardous materials regulations are preferred. Safe driving practices, sound judgment, and readiness to follow applicable procedures and delivery instructions.
