OVER THE ROAD DRIVER / SMALL BOX TRUCK

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Over the Road Driver / Small Box Truck Operator to join our transportation team. Responsibilities: The driver will be responsible for the delivery of products to customers using a company vehicle.. - Operate and drive various types of trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances - Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before each trip - Plan routes and meet delivery schedules - Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures - Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions - Collect and verify delivery instructions - Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer during delivery work shift. (Vacuum, clean, supply parts etc.)(Note: All equipment must be in good working order.)(Note: Employees must follow cleanliness/sanitation protocol.)(Note: All employees must wear the proper PPE.)(Note: All employees must adhere to company standards of appearance and behavior.)(Note: Company standards of work environment.)(Note: Perform duties in time balance accordance with Chicago, IL laws and regulations.)(Note: Perform other duties not listed here that are necessary and/or requested by management.) Skills: - Proficient in heavy equipment operation - Experience with box trucks - Commercial driving experience - Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus - Familiarity with regional lanes for freight transportation Work Location: On the road Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier roles with a focus on box truck or van operation. Warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly desirable. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; comfortable working in physically demanding environments. Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery updates; experience with load & unload procedures is a plus. Pay: $900.00 - $1,200.00 per week Work Location: On the road
