Morris Company in San Antonio, TX is looking for one outdoor warehouse supervisor (with forklift and skid-steer experience) to join our team. We are located on 2420 South Flores Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable.

Outdoor Warehouse Supervisor

Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule:

•             Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

•             Saturday: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM

•             Approx. 45.5 hours per week

•             Overtime paid at time and a half

Location: Downtown San Antonio (Outdoor Warehouse)

 About the Role

Morris Company is seeking a dependable, experienced, and bilingual (Spanish/English) Outdoor Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily yard operations and lead a team of warehouse associates. This is a hands‑on supervisory role that requires spending most of the workday in the outdoor warehouse, ensuring safe, efficient, and organized operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, skilled equipment operator, and confident leader who can train others, maintain accurate records, and step in to perform associate‑level duties whenever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership

•             Supervise, train, coach, and discipline warehouse associates.

•             Delegate daily tasks and ensure full staffing coverage, including reminding employees of upcoming absences.

•             Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.

•             Maintain a positive, productive, and safety‑focused work environment.

Hands‑On Warehouse Operations

•             Perform warehouse associate duties during busy periods or when short‑handed.

•             Load materials by hand and with equipment (forklift, Bobcat).

•             Cut rebar accurately and safely according to customer specifications.

•             Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining the outdoor yard.

•             Stand, walk, and work on your feet for long periods of time.

Driver & Traffic Coordination

•             Guide incoming delivery drivers on where to park and unload.

•             Ensure drivers unload in the correct product zones.

•             Prevent congestion by directing traffic flow and keeping customer areas clear.

•             Maintain safe and efficient movement throughout the outdoor warehouse.

Equipment Training & Recordkeeping

•             Train employees on safe operation of skid steers (Bobcats) and sit‑down forklifts.

•             Maintain accurate training logs, certifications, and refresher records.

•             Ensure all operators meet company and regulatory safety standards.

Safety & Compliance

•             Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA‑aligned procedures.

•             Conduct regular safety inspections and equipment checks.

•             Document safety violations and corrective actions.

•             Lead safety meetings and ensure staff receive required training.

Inventory & Yard Management

•             Oversee receiving, stocking, and inventory rotation.

•             Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.

•             Maintain yard cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.

•             Ensure proper tarping, trailer safety, and loading protocols.

Customer Service

•             Provide professional, bilingual customer service to walk‑in customers and contractors.

•             Resolve loading issues, product questions, or service delays promptly.

•             Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive customer experience.

 Physical Requirements

•             Ability to lift and carry cement sacks and other heavy materials safely and repeatedly.

•             Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long periods in varying weather conditions.

•             Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, and other yard equipment.

 Qualifications

•             Fluent in Spanish and English (required).

•             2–3 years of warehouse or yard operations experience.

•             Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.

•             Ability to train and certify employees on forklifts and skid steers.

•             Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

•             Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

•             Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused.
