Leadership & Management Qualifications Demonstrated ability to lead a large, multi-functional warehouse team of approximately 200 associates across multiple buildings and operating areas Strong floor leadership with the ability to direct Managers, Supervisors, Leads and hourly associates while maintaining clear accountability at every leve Ability to plan labor, equipment and workflow across selection, replenishment, reach-truck operations, loading/unloading, receiving, sanitation and support functions Proven ability to coach, develop, evaluate and hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, safety, quality and adherence to company expectations Ability to make timely operational decisions in a high-volume, deadline-driven food distribution environment and effectively communicate priorities during changing conditions Strong written and verbal communication skills, including shift start-up meetings, performance discussions, corrective action, incident response and leadership handoffs. Safety, Compliance & Food-Safety Qualifications Owns the safety performance of the entire assigned shift and actively leads a culture in which safe work practices are a condition of operation Ensures Powered Industrial Truck, pedestrian, dock, material-handling and warehouse safety requirements are consistently followed Ensures the shift operates in compliance with all company SOPs, GMPs, food-safety requirements and established 6S standards Maintains high standards for housekeeping, sanitation, product protection, aisle and dock conditions, equipment use and facility discipline Leads or supports incident investigations, corrective actions, safety stand-downs and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence Ensures required training, certifications and operating qualifications are current before associates perform assigned work. Operational & KPI Accountability Accountable for achieving all applicable shift and position KPIs, including productivity, accuracy, service, safety, labor and quality measures Responsible for achieving the Company's applicable OTIF (On Time In Full) expectations through accurate selection, timely loading, proper staging, shortage reduction and completion of outbound shipping requirements Directs the shift to complete approximately 75,000 outbound cases while supporting approximately 15,000 inbound cases, with actual volume subject to daily business requirements Balances labor and workload among approximately 100 Selectors, 40 Reach Truck Operators, 20 Loaders / Unloaders and other support functions to meet daily operating objectives Monitors workflow continuously and takes corrective action when productivity, replenishment, loading, receiving, staffing, equipment availability or other constraints threaten shift completion Ensures effective communication and operational handoff between Day Shift, Night Shift, Inbound, Transportation and other supporting departments. Responsible for all relevant P&L lines associated with the assigned shift and for operating within established labor and expense expectations Manages regular hours, overtime, staffing levels, productivity and labor deployment to support both customer service and cost objectives Understands the financial impact of shortages, mis-picks, damages, rework, detention, overtime, poor productivity, product loss and process failures Uses operating and financial data to identify unfavorable trends, establish corrective actions and improve shift performance.
