DevgiriDEVGIRI EXPORTS 2nd OUTBOUND SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION Department: Warehouse Operations – Outbound Reports To: Director of Warehouse / Warehouse Operations Manager Job Overview Devgiri Exports is seeking a dependable, results-driven Outbound Supervisor – 2nd Shift to lead daily outbound warehouse operations. This position is responsible for ensuring customer orders are staged, verified, loaded, and shipped accurately and on time while maintaining productivity, inventory accuracy, safety, and quality standards. The Outbound Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership to the shipping forklift team, and other assigned warehouse associates. This supervisor must maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor, monitor productivity throughout the shift, and ensure employees are held accountable for meeting established performance expectations. A key responsibility of this position is ensuring that the 2nd shift completes the required workload and properly prepares the warehouse for the next day's operation and shipments. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all 2nd-shift outbound warehouse activities , including staging, verification, loading, and shipping. · The outbound function duties also include managing order picking function not just shipping. Review the daily shipping and load schedule, and priorities to develop the shift's work plan. Assign the forklift team duties and ensure staging, loading, replenishment, and material-handling responsibilities. Monitor order-picking productivity throughout the shift and address performance issues immediately. Ensure shipments are palletized accurately, completely, and according to orders . Verify that pallets are properly labeled, wrapped, staged, and assigned to the correct customer, PO, DC, trailer, or shipment. Ensure outbound loads are completed and ready to ship according to scheduled departure times. Monitor the loading process to reduce incorrect pallets, shortages, overages, damages, and shipping errors. Maintain an organized staging area and ensure completed pallets do not create congestion or safety concerns. Conduct regular floor walks and maintain active supervision throughout the shift. Track employee productivity and communicate progress toward shift goals throughout the evening. Reallocate labor when necessary to ensure priority orders and shipments are completed. Enforce company policies regarding attendance, breaks, productivity, safety, equipment operation, and workplace conduct . Coach employees regarding performance deficiencies and recognize associates demonstrating strong performance. Document performance, attendance, safety, or conduct issues and administer corrective action in accordance with company policy. Conduct pre-shift meetings covering workload, assignments, safety concerns, shipping priorities, and productivity expectations. Ensure the warehouse is left clean, organized, and properly staged for the following shift . Provide management with an accurate end-of-shift report identifying completed shipments, outstanding orders, inventory issues, staffing concerns, and other operational challenges. Leadership Expectations The Outbound Supervisor is expected to be a hands-on floor leader . The supervisor should know the status of active orders, what each team is working on, which loads are approaching deadlines, and where operational problems exist. The supervisor must be comfortable holding employees accountable. When productivity is below expectations, the supervisor should identify the reason, provide clear direction, and follow up to ensure improvement. The supervisor is also responsible for creating a culture where speed does not come at the expense of accuracy or safety .
