Outbound Shipping & Receiving Coordinator — Distribution Center

Location: Three Oaks, MI

Reports to: Warehouse Manager or Designee

A day in this role

You start your shift by reviewing the day’s dock schedule—prioritizing outbound orders and checking for expected receipts. With a firm grasp of the warehouse layout, you pull items quickly and accurately, verify counts, and package goods so they arrive safe and presentable. As inbound pallets arrive, you receive and stage them, logging any damage you find. Throughout the day, you keep inventory counts current, ensure aisles stay clean, and double-check that every shipment is ready to move on time.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare, pack, and ship orders to customers and storefronts with accuracy and care.
  • Read and execute pick tickets, selecting items efficiently from warehouse shelves.
  • Confirm stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy during the entire shift.
  • Perform basic quality checks on products and packaging before shipment.
  • Receive incoming shipments; document and report any inventory damage.
  • Keep work areas orderly and follow all warehouse safety practices.

Experience

  • At least 1 year in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Hands-on experience using RF scanners.
  • Comfort with ERP and WMS platforms; Epicor 10 experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations.

Skills & Requirements

  • Leads by example, solves problems, and helps the team hit goals.
  • Capable of certification on forklift, reach truck, and walkie pallet jack.
  • Organized, detail-focused, and accurate with counts.
  • Reads and understands product descriptions, labels, and related documents.
  • Applies basic math to verify quantities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
  • Follows all organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Proficiency

  • Forklift Licensed
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
