Logistics Coordinator - Outbound Location: Farmington Hills, MI. Fully On-site. Employment Type: Full-Time Company: Orleans International About Us Orleans International is an established importing company specializing in frozen and chilled food products. Once our products have cleared USDA and all applicable import requirements, we manage nationwide distribution to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator - Outbound to oversee post-clearance transportation and delivery operations. Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator will manage outbound logistics after products have cleared USDA, coordinating domestic transportation from ports, cold storage facilities, or warehouses to customer destinations. This role focuses on carrier coordination, shipment execution, and ensuring accurate, on-time deliveries. Key Responsibilities · Coordinate outbound shipments after USDA clearance to customer locations · Schedule and manage domestic transportation · Communicate with carriers, warehouses, cold storage facilities, and internal teams · Track outbound shipments and proactively resolve delays or delivery issues · Ensure all post clearance documentation is accurate and properly distributed · Enter and maintain shipment data in internal systems · Verify freight invoices and assist with cost tracking and reporting · Support delivery scheduling based on customer requirements and inventory availability · Identify and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and service levels Qualifications · 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination · Experience with outbound or domestic freight operations preferred · Familiarity with food logistics, USDA-cleared product handling, or temperature-controlled freight is a plus · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities · Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously What We Offer · Competitive compensation · Benefits package [health, dental, vision, PTO, employee funded 401K] · Stable and collaborative work environment Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Application Question(s): Please describe your experience working with freight carriers and cold storage facilities.
