K&S Logistics — East Windsor, NJ 08512 Full-time | On-site | $28–$34 per hour, plus applicable overtime K&S Logistics is preparing to launch a warehouse operation at 115 Melrich Road in East Windsor, New Jersey. We are hiring an Outbound Fulfillment Lead to take ownership of daily order planning, picking, packing, shipping and carrier coordination, with a strong focus on D2C fulfillment and responsibility for B2B outbound work. You will personally pick, pack, check and prepare shipments from the start, while helping build the team and operating process. As employees are hired, you will recruit, train and lead them and continue working alongside them on the floor. You must be comfortable planning the work and doing the work yourself. You will report to Sean and work closely with the Inbound & Inventory Control Lead. The goal is a reliable operation that meets agreed service standards and carrier cutoffs and handles routine work without daily intervention from senior management. What you will do Review order volume, inventory readiness, customer instructions and carrier cutoffs. Build and execute the daily pick/pack/ship plan. Personally pick, scan, pack, label, verify, stage and help load shipments using approved equipment and safe methods. Lead D2C fulfillment with attention to the right SKU, quantity, customer, packaging, shipping service and tracking information. Plan B2B orders, carton/pallet preparation, labels, paperwork and appointments according to each customer's actual requirements. Coordinate parcel, LTL and other applicable carrier pickups. Check manifests, shipment counts and handoff records, and resolve missed pickups or dispatch exceptions. Monitor backlog and work progress throughout the shift. Reassign work and propose a recovery plan before service deadlines are missed. Work with inbound on stock readiness and replenishment. Ship only verified, released inventory and preserve customer ownership and hold status. Investigate shipping errors, damage and repeat exceptions using WMS/scanner records and shipment evidence; train and verify corrective actions. Recruit and interview outbound staff within the approved hiring plan. Train employees, assign daily work, check quality and build backup coverage. Maintain simple SOPs, work instructions and daily performance/exception records. Report material risks with facts, options and a recommendation. Keep packing and dispatch areas safe and organized. Operate equipment only after the required training, evaluation and authorization. What we are looking for Proven hands-on e-commerce/D2C fulfillment experience, including personally picking, packing and shipping orders. Working knowledge of B2B outbound preparation, shipment records and carrier coordination. Experience using a WMS, barcode/RF scanners and shipping systems yourself. Experience assigning work, training warehouse employees and checking quality and safety. Ability to prioritize against cutoffs, plan labor and resolve routine operating problems within approved procedures. Practical spreadsheet/computer skills and clear communication with warehouse staff, carriers and management. Ability to understand safety instructions, customer shipping requirements and warehouse records in English. Willingness to perform daily floor work during launch and as the team grows, including moving, handling, picking and packing goods with appropriate equipment or assistance. Multi-client 3PL experience, new-site launch experience and experience improving pick/pack flow are helpful. A college degree and Mandarin are not required. We assess what you have actually done, not just your previous title. Schedule, pay and benefits Pay: $28–$34/hour , based on relevant skills and experience, plus applicable overtime.
