OTR Truck Driver Household Good Moving

Job Overview As an OTR Truck Driver specializing in household goods moving, you’ll transport customers’ belongings safely between locations using commercial trucks and tractor-trailers. You’ll plan over-the-road (OTR) routes, protect cargo during transit, and coordinate pickup and delivery with care. This paid position requires safe driving, physical handling of household goods, and compliance with applicable transportation rules. Duties Drive commercial trucks on OTR routes, using GPS navigation and route planning to support timely, safe delivery. Load, secure, transport, and unload household goods; handle freight and logistics cargo carefully to prevent damage. Inspect vehicles and equipment, including refrigerated trailers when assigned, and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive their household belongings safely and in good condition. Skills Required: Valid commercial driving qualifications for the assigned vehicle, safe driving practices, and ability to perform manual handling and load and unload cargo. Required: Familiarity with commercial truck driving, delivery driving and GPS navigation; delivery driver experience is useful. Preferred: Experience with automobile transportation, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off truck operations. Route driving, truck driving, and household goods moving experience are valuable; apply relevant skills across different vehicle and cargo types.
