In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across regional routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and manual handling will help us maintain efficient supply chain flows while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and cargo vans for regional over-the-road deliveries, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices to navigate and track shipments, ensuring on-time arrivals at customer locations. Assist with warehouse operations including material handling, inventory management, and moving goods within the facility as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during delivery appointments and resolving any issues promptly. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with DOT regulations. Must be willing to be on the road 7 or more days in a row. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving with a focus on cargo vans or box trucks. Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following manual handling and safe lifting practices. Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and managing time effectively on the road. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients. Experience with mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation purposes. Knowledge of warehouse operations including moving goods, using material handling equipment, and weight handling in the workplace.
