OTR Reefer Driver

Overview We are a small, family-owned and operated trucking business seeking a dedicated OTR Reefer Driver. This role involves long-haul transportation of refrigerated goods across various routes, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the owner on a day-to-day basis, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate and maintain reefer trucks during long-distance over-the-road routes. Transport refrigerated freight across multiple states while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with the owner and dispatch to coordinate schedules and delivery requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Manage documentation related to shipments, including delivery receipts and logs. Maintain a professional attitude while providing excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment. Skills Minimum of two years of verifiable experience as an OTR Reefer Driver or in a similar long-haul trucking role. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for reefer operation. Proven ability to operate reefer trucks safely over long distances. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with the owner and clients. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and best practices for refrigerated freight transport. Reliable, responsible, and adaptable with a focus on safety and professionalism. Ability to handle flexible schedules and home time preferences.
