OTR Driver for General Freight

Compensation: - Pay is 22% to 25% of gross revenue generated by driver - Weekly payment on Friday by 4pm. This is the Friday after the previously worked week. A week is from Monday to Sunday. - Compensation is based on experience and on clean driving records - Drivers with clean records get 25% - 2800 to 3200 miles per week Hiring Location: Atlanta, GA, Greenville, Spartanburgh, SC Savannah, GA Chattanooga, TN Details and Requirements: - CDL Class A license - 2 year of continuous clean and safe driving record - Fluent in English - Authorized to work in the USA - 1099 Independent Contractor Agreement - Pass DOT's physical and drug testing - Enrolled in random drug testing - Plan for at least 8 days on the road - Using ELD Drive: - 2019-2022 Fully Equipped Automatic Freightliner Cascadia - Double bed, fridge, microwave Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to timely deliveries and excellent driving skills, particularly with various types of trailers. Responsibilities Operate and drive a tractor-trailer over long distances to transport freight. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any issues encountered during transit. Manage routes efficiently to minimize delays and ensure timely deliveries. Skills Proficient in driving automatic/automated transmission vehicles. Experience with dry van Strong background in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Familiarity with delivery driver experience, including route driving and freight handling. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions on the road. Strong attention to detail for maintaining logs and ensuring compliance with regulations.
