The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in excellent condition. Duties Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks for the delivery of freight. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries as required by law. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any issues encountered during transport. Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods as necessary. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving on assigned routes. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles. Proficiency in operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles effectively. Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills. Familiarity with freight handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
