OTR Driver
Jersey Auto TransJob Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of trucks, refrigerated trailers and containers. As an OTR driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and reliability. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer units safely and efficiently over long distances interstates. Ensure proper handling of goods. Navigate routes effectively while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery schedules. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations related to commercial driving according to FMCSA and DOT. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL A). Familiarity with various truck types, refrigerated trailers, containers and freight handling.
