OTR Driver

Job Overview We are a dedicated refrigerated carrier for a local company in Knoxville, and our coverage areas are from the I-35 Corridor down to McAllen TX and up to WI. We do not go Northeast into NY City, Boston and further. Our drivers avg being gone 2-5 days at a time depending on how far of a trip you run and then home for a couple days. Everyone works back to Knoxville so to continue to service our customer. We have all new model Peterbilt's, most of which are automatics. We have a few 13 speeds left but they are given out only when they are available to give. We do not slip seat, but we do have a couple drop and hook customers so you may swap trailers periodically. Great pay structure which includes a per mile and base pay. Must be within 100 miles of Knoxville to be considered for this position. Duties Operate tractor-trailers across regional and national routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws Transport various types of freight, on refrigerated trailers Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and communication with dispatch teams throughout your trip Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Proven experience of 3 years or more in truck driving, particularly in long-haul or OTR roles with a focus on freight delivery Skilled in operating manual and automatic transmission trucks with proficiency in tractor-trailer handling Strong knowledge of safety procedures, DOT regulations, and route planning for efficient deliveries Excellent driving record with a commitment to safe driving practices Join us as an OTR Driver and become a vital part of our team!
