OTR Dispatcher / Fleet Manager - Family Owned & Operated since 1969!

Bancroft & Sons Transportation, a family-owned and operated trucking company serving the industry since 1969, is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager / Dispatcher to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. This position will oversee and support our long-haul drivers while helping keep freight moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. We’re looking for someone who understands trucking, communicates well with drivers, stays organized, and can make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Pay: $55,000+ per year, based on experience Location: Grand Prairie, TX Responsibilities Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily load assignments Book loads and manage freight scheduling Use load boards, including DAT, to locate and book freight Plan routes and help maximize driver miles and equipment utilization Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS), pickup times, and delivery deadlines Track trucks and loads and provide accurate, real-time updates Communicate regularly with drivers regarding assignments, expectations, delays, and schedule changes Route drivers for scheduled home time while maintaining freight coverage Coordinate equipment availability, maintenance needs, and service disruptions Assist with invoicing, billing, and payment tracking Oversee driver payroll and help ensure accurate, timely pay Maintain proper documentation and help ensure DOT compliance Work with drivers to improve safety, service, productivity, and efficiency Handle unexpected issues and make sound decisions to keep operations moving Qualifications Minimum 2 years of trucking dispatch experience required Experience dispatching CDL drivers and managing multiple trucks/drivers Experience booking freight and working with load boards DAT experience preferred Alvys TMS experience preferred Strong understanding of Hours of Service and DOT regulations Experience with driver tracking, load management, invoicing, and payroll Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced trucking environment Must be comfortable communicating with drivers, brokers, customers, and other departments throughout the day What We Offer Competitive salary starting at $55,000+ per year 401(k) with company matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Stable, full-time employment Supportive, family-owned work environment Opportunity to grow and make a direct impact on our operation Bancroft & Sons Transportation LLC 3390 High Prairie Rd.
