OTR Box Truck Driver (Non-CDL)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced OTR Box Truck Driver (Non-CDL) to join our team. Excellent customer service skills are a must. This role involves regional and national route driving, delivering goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving and logistics, with the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting(on rare occasions) and operating a pallet jack. Knowledge of "hours of service" requirements are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This position is categorized as a 1099 contractor position. Duties Safely operate a box truck across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Deliver products to customers efficiently, maintaining excellent customer service throughout each interaction. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the truck is in optimal condition. Plan routes effectively to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Demonstrated ability in route driving with a focus on safety, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Familiarity with heavy lifting, moving items safely, and operating vehicles. Proficiency with load placement and securement. (load bars and ratchet straps) Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally. Valid driver’s license; commercial driving experience preferred but not required for non-CDL positions. Experience working with heavy loads and pallet jack ; training will be provided if necessary. This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving loads, excellent driving skills for route navigation, and a commitment to safety standards at all times.
