OTR Box Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced OTR (Over-the-Road) Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a box truck over long distances across the country, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards. This role requires a professional with a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Duties Safely operate and navigate a box truck over long-distance routes across various states. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during trips. Hold a valid DOT medical card and ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date. Speak and understand English fluently to facilitate clear communication on the road and during deliveries. Operate within authorized work hours, ensuring compliance with Hours of Service regulations. Skills Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a box truck. At least one year of experience driving and operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle over the road. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication. Hold a valid DOT medical card. Strong knowledge of safety procedures, traffic laws, and DOT regulations. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and reliability. Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently on long routes. Good problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during trips.
