OTR Box Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable OTR (Over-the-Road) Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver general frieght efficiently across designated routes. Duties Safely operate a box truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with maintenance standards Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of goods at customer locations Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to confirm routes, delivery statuses, and any issues encountered Assist with warehouse operations including material handling, moving inventory, and organizing shipments as needed Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and addressing customer inquiries Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or courier services involving box trucks or vans Strong warehouse experience with knowledge of warehouse operations and manual handling practices Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and adhering to traffic regulations Skilled in the use of mobile devices for navigation, communication, and documentation purposes Capable of heavy lifting and safe lifting practices in accordance with workplace weight handling standards Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation, weight limits, hours of service, and safety protocols Join our team if you thrive in a lively environment where your driving skills make a real impact!
