OTR Box Truck Driver

Job Overview As an OTR Box Truck Driver, you’ll transport and deliver goods safely and reliably over assigned routes. You’ll operate a box truck, manage loading and unloading, and provide professional service at delivery locations. This role may involve long-distance driving, physical material handling, and using mobile devices to follow routes and record delivery details. Duties Drive a box truck on over-the-road and local delivery routes, following traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Load and unload freight; move, lift, and secure items using safe lifting practices and appropriate material handling equipment, including a pallet jack. Use mobile devices to review routes, update delivery status, and document completed stops. Communicate courteously with customers and resolve routine delivery questions. Your impact: Careful driving and accurate deliveries help customers receive their goods safely and on schedule. Experience Delivery driver, courier, van driver, or commercial truck driving experience is preferred; personal vehicle delivery experience is also relevant. Commercial driving experience, a valid license appropriate for the vehicle, and the ability to drive a manual transmission are preferred. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment, and load-and-unload procedures is an asset. Able to handle the physical demands of moving freight, including heavy lifting and workplace weight-handling requirements. Demonstrates safe driving habits, customer service skills, and the ability to follow routes and DOT requirements.
