RLM Services, Inc.OTR Box Truck Driver Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Box Truck Driver to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the safe loading, unloading, securing, transportation, and delivery of general freight. The ideal candidate must have experience operating 26’ box trucks, using tuck liftgates, using pallet jacks, using hand trucks and dollies, properly securing cargo utilizing ratcheting straps and other tools, possesses excellent communication and customer service skills, and be comfortable driving nationwide. Requirements Prior experience safely driving a 26-foot box truck Prior experience filling up diesel fuel tanks and DEF tanks Prior experience conducting pre and post drip DVIR's (vehicle inspections) Prior experience operating a lift gate Prior experience operating a pallet jack Prior experience using ratcheting straps and safely securing cargo Drivers License Medical Card Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Company provided 26-foot box truck with lift gate Follow all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and log them in the DVIR system Ensure all HOS and ELD requirements are met, and all required logs are completed Utilize company provided pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies to safely load and unload freight Utilize company provided straps, tie-downs, and related equipment to safely and secure merchandise during transport Properly fuel diesel fuel tanks, continuously monitor levels, and fill up at approved fueling stations with fuel card Properly fill-up DEF tank and continuously monitor levels to ensure it is always filled Continuously monitor truck performance and report any maintenance issues or concerns the first time you learn of them Politely and effectively communicate with customers, dispatchers, brokers, and company personnel Job snapshot Deliver assigned freight (including loading and unloading as required) to customers Daily pay rates and commissions based on experience and performance Full-time opportunity with advancement opportunities Additional shifts and travel work available for top performers Annual holiday bonus potential Qualifications Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience.
