Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable OTR (Over-the-Road) 26 ft box truck driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial box truck to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Duties Safely operate a 26 ft box truck, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. CDL preferred. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Deliver goods to various customer locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs while maintaining professional customer interactions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Use mobile devices or GPS systems to follow optimized routes, ensuring efficient route driving and delivery schedules. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including manual handling, moving inventory, or organizing shipments. Maintain detailed delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records throughout each shift. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or courier roles with a focus on box trucks or vans. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory depending on jurisdiction. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and the ability to operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, and heavy lifting with safe lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safety standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members. Ability to handle physical demands of the role including manual handling, moving heavy items, and prolonged periods of driving or standing.
