Ordering & Receiving Specialist
K&B BridalsOrdering & Receiving Specialist – Bridal Boutique - K&B Bridals Hagerstown Are you the person who notices when one small detail doesn’t match? Do you enjoy creating order, working through a checklist and knowing everything has been handled correctly? Are you someone who follows a problem all the way through instead of assuming someone else will take care of it? You may be exactly who we’re looking for. At K&B Bridals, our responsibility to a bride doesn’t end when she says yes to her dress. After the sale, someone must make sure her order is correct, her gown arrives on time, every item is carefully inspected and any concerns are resolved quickly. Our Ordering & Receiving Specialist protects that part of the bride’s experience. This is a behind-the-scenes role with a direct impact on our brides. You’ll work closely with our Boutique Leader to manage order confirmations, arrival dates, incoming merchandise, quality control and inventory. You’ll also communicate with designers and brides when needed, helping each bride feel confident that someone is paying attention to her order. What You’ll DoProtect Every Bride’s Order Compare the original customer order form, BridalLive order and designer confirmation to ensure every detail matches. Verify style, size, color, customizations and anticipated arrival dates. Review designer confirmations within 24 hours of receipt. Monitor open orders, shipping dates and potential delays. Catch discrepancies early and communicate them before they become emergencies. Receive and Inspect Merchandise Receive and process incoming bride and stock merchandise. Inspect every item for accuracy, quality, damage and manufacturing concerns. Check merchandise into BridalLive and store customer gowns properly. Document any issue and contact the appropriate designer or vendor promptly. Track replacements, repairs and other solutions through completion. Own the Follow-Through Communicate professionally and compassionately with brides when an order update or concern requires direct contact. Keep the Boutique Leader informed and involve her when additional support or decision-making is needed. Continue following an issue until it is fully resolved—not simply reported or passed along. Help prevent surprises by identifying warning signs before the bride is affected whenever reasonably possible. Keep Inventory Moving Enter, price and tag new merchandise accurately. Help steam and prepare new gowns so they reach the sales floor within three days and before the weekend whenever possible. Support quarterly inventory reviews. Identify gowns whose performance is declining so they can move into our Ready to Wed collection while they still have selling potential. Flag strong-performing gowns and possible size gaps for the Boutique Leader. Maintain an Organized Boutique Keep receiving, storage and backroom areas clean, functional and free from unnecessary clutter. Make sure merchandise, paperwork and supplies have designated homes and are easy to locate. Process incoming boxes completely and clear receiving clutter before the weekend. Monitor boutique supplies and reorder approved items within the established list and budget. Assist with pickups, loaner gowns, swatches, returns, replacements, gown steaming and other operational needs. You May Be a Great Fit If You Naturally notice when something doesn’t look right.
