Order Processing Specialist iStar Jewelry LLC — Pine Brook, NJ 07058 — On-site, full time $23.00 – $28.00 per hour , depending on experience Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on site. This is not a hybrid or remote role. About us iStar is a jewelry distributor serving major big-box retailers through a global network of manufacturing partners. Our Pine Brook facility handles everything from receiving to final customer shipment. About the role You will own the path an order takes from the moment it lands to the moment it ships. That means confirming we actually have the goods, building accurate work orders, getting shipments out the door correctly, and sorting out the logistics details that decide whether a retailer's delivery window is met. Our customers hold us to strict routing and labeling requirements, so accuracy is the whole job. One transposed quantity or a missed ship window can cost a chargeback. This is a detail role in a warehouse setting. You will spend your day in our ERP system and in detailed spreadsheets, on your feet in the warehouse verifying what the system says against what is on the shelf. What you'll do Review incoming customer orders and verify availability against current on-hand inventory in our ERP system Flag shortages, discrepancies, and allocation conflicts before they become shipping problems Build and release work orders to the warehouse floor Create shipments, generate packing lists and shipping documentation, and apply customer-specific labeling Coordinate carrier pickups, routing requests, and delivery scheduling; track shipments and resolve exceptions Maintain detailed order and inventory spreadsheets, and reconcile them against system records Work with merchandising, customer service, and warehouse leadership on priority orders and changes Handle the day-to-day requests that come with a fast-moving distribution operation What we're looking for 2+ years in order processing, order entry, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or a similar distribution or warehouse support role Strong Excel skills: you are comfortable with filters, sorting, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, and pivot tables, and you can work in a large spreadsheet without losing your place Experience working in an ERP or warehouse management system (we use Acumatica; we will train you on it) A habit of checking your own work. We would rather you take an extra minute than send a shipment that has to be unwound Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort raising a problem early Reliable attendance and the ability to work on site during posted hours High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and to move around a warehouse environment throughout the day Nice to have Experience shipping to big-box retail customers and working from vendor routing guides Familiarity with EDI order flow, ASNs, or UCC-128 labeling ERP experience Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese On AI tools We use Claude as a working aid here, and it has been genuinely useful for getting people up to speed on our ERP when the staff who know it best do not have time to train everyone. We will show you how we use it. What we expect is judgment: use it to learn a process or draft something, then verify the answer against the system of record before you act on it.
