Position Overview The Order Processing Assistant plays an important role in ensuring customer book orders are received, reviewed, prepared, and completed accurately. This position supports the order process from initial online purchase through preparation and shipment. Responsibilities include reviewing incoming orders, verifying customer and shipping information, organizing fulfillment details, preparing books and related materials for shipment, maintaining accurate order records, and assisting with routine customer inquiries. Because orders may include signed books and other individually prepared items, careful attention to customer requests, quantities, shipping information, and product condition is essential. The Order Processing Assistant also helps maintain communication between order administration, inventory, fulfillment, and customer service activities so that orders remain organized and customers receive accurate information. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, comfortable working with online systems, and able to manage detail-oriented tasks consistently. Previous experience in e-commerce, publishing, order processing, fulfillment, shipping, or administrative support is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
