Order Packer/Shipper

Position Summary · The Order Packer / Shipper is responsible for accurately packing, staging, and shipping customer orders. This role ensures orders are processed safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Packing & Shipping · Pack customer orders accurately using pick lists, RF scanners, and warehouse management systems. · Verify product, quantity, lot number, and warehouse location prior to packing. · Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transit. · Ensure that all customer-specific packaging and labeling requirements are followed. · Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets. Shipping & Documentation · Prepare shipments using approved carrier systems. · Generate and verify shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, and bills of lading. · Ensure orders are properly split and shipped according to warehouse source locations and customer requirements. · Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas. · Assist with carrier loading and shipment verification. Warehouse Operations · Receive and put away inventory as required. · Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas. · Support continuous improvement initiatives and process changes. · Assist other warehouse functions during periods of high volume. Safety & Compliance · Follow all health, safety, and company policies. · Safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, RF scanners, etc.). · Wear required PPE at all times. · Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or damaged equipment immediately. Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent preferred. · 1-3 years of warehouse, shipping, or distribution experience. · Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred. · Basic computer skills. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements · Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kg). · Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift. · Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment. · Overtime and weekend work may be required to support customer demand and business needs. Performance Expectations · Maintain order accuracy of 99% or higher. · Meet established daily productivity standards. · Consistently follow shipping, inventory, and safety procedures. · Demonstrate reliability, attendance, and flexibility to support operational requirements. · Contribute positively to team performance and customer service objectives.
