Order Fulfillment - Shipping/Receiving

SUMMARY: Confirms that merchandise is handled in an efficient and economical manner, and maintains required records in conformance with company policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs any type of work assigned by supervisor, such as but not limited to: loading and unloading trucks, order-picking and packing, receiving and storage of merchandise and supplies. May occasionally drive a truck and make deliveries or pick-up merchandise from suppliers. Operates a lift truck or a fork truck in picking orders or in storing of merchandise. Checks, counts and may account for items within containers; verifies accurate count of incoming or outgoing materials, merchandise, and paper work. Follow proper receiving procedures for control of inventory discrepancies. Ensure orderly and neatly maintained stock. Maintain a product rotation system. Maintains good housekeeping and keeps neat, complete and understandable records; and reports on any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment; reports fire or safety hazards to supervisor. Observes safety regulations and wears required safety attire at all times. May pack orders, write labels, weigh cartons and prepare parcel post and UPS shipment forms. Performs other duties occasionally related to maintenance, safety or good housekeeping, including clean-up and custodial work. Attends company meetings as requested. Practices regular attendance. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor or Senior Management.
