Order Fulfillment Crew (Nursery Plant/Tree Identification)

Focused on quality plant & tree production, sales, service and delivery across Vancouver Island. Serving the landscape, commercial, municipal and retail garden centre communities since 1959. Under Green Thumb ownership, additional sites include a retail garden centre and two production farms. We are in growth mode, continuing to elevate & expand our operations. Job & Scope - The primary job requirement and skills required for this role is the ability to identify most trees & plants, measure and select quality grades and ideally understand Plant/Tree Latin naming conventions. This job requires taking a fulfillment order then driving our many field locations to locate and ID the specific item/quantity and deliver to the loading area for waiting delivery trucks or wholesale customer pick up. Along with plant/tree ID skills, working independently, efficiently, and problem solving in a physical role often in all weather conditions are requirements for success in this critical Nursery role. Reports to: Sales & Service Manager. Key Accountabilities: Order fulfillment ( Pulling Orders) throughout the Nursery. Efficiently pick Orders with a high level of accuracy and urgency Cross-check picked items against order sheets or packing lists to ensure correct quantities and items. Coordinate with the team as needed from Order Pulling to Delivery Dock Perform quality checks to ensure orders meet our standards before shipping. Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards. High Level of communication and collaboration to reach daily demands. Additional duties: Helping Load / unload trucks Communicate with customers via email, phone and in person to satisfy sales orders. Performing Inventory Counts. Identify and labeling plant material Field work when not pulling plants Qualifications & Requirements: Required - The ability to Identify most common plants and trees. Fulfilling Nursery orders accurately and productively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Ability to take direction and learn quickly Ability to work independently asking for support and direction as needed. Basic computer skills Working conditions: Work is primarily outdoors. Be prepared to work in all weather conditions throughout the year This role is physically demanding and requires a desire to work steadily with a level of urgency. Lifting and moving heavy objects 50+ LBS. Required clothing and tools: Steel toe boots Appropriate clothing for weather and time of year. Schedule Monday to Friday. 8am - 4:30pm Hours may vary based on time of year and production needs. FT or PT + Seasonal or Permanent is available.
