Order Entry/Logistics Clerk Location: San Marcos, TX Pay: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience We are seeking an organized, dependable Order Entry / Logistics Clerk to support daily operations at a recycling company. This role involves entering orders, coordinating material pickups and deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with customers, drivers, and yard personnel. The ideal candidate catches on quickly, is comfortable working in multiple computer systems, and can manage changing priorities in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities Enter and update customer orders, material transactions, and pickup or delivery requests. Verify material descriptions, weights, pricing, and customer information for accuracy. Coordinate with drivers, transportation providers, and yard personnel to schedule material pickups and deliveries. Track loads and communicate scheduling changes, delays, or special instructions. Prepare and maintain scale tickets, shipping documents, bills of lading, and other transaction records. Review paperwork for missing information and resolve discrepancies before processing. Answer phone calls and emails regarding orders, scheduling, and transaction details. Assist with invoicing, data entry, filing, and general administrative support. Learn internal systems and recycling terminology quickly while maintaining accurate records. Qualifications Experience in order entry, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or administrative support preferred. Recycling, scrap metal, trucking, or industrial office experience is helpful but not required. Strong computer and data entry skills, with the ability to navigate multiple systems. Ability to learn new processes quickly and follow instructions with minimal repeated guidance. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Clear communication skills and a professional, helpful approach. Ability to handle interruptions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
