Order Desk Clerk - Mandarin / Cantonese speaking

Order Desk Clerk (Mandarin or Cantonese) – Flooring Wholesale, Markham Pay: $19.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-time, [Mon–Fri, 9：00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.] Location: Markham, ON (in person) What you'll do Orders · Convert customers' square footage and site measurements into exact order quantities (boxes, rolls, pieces) · Create and manage estimates, sales orders and invoices · Check available stock against reserved stock before confirming an order, so we never over-promise · Issue pick tickets to the warehouse and coordinate pickup and delivery times with customers and carriers · Answer customers' questions about stock, pricing and order status Payments & accounts · Receive and apply customer payments (Interac e-Transfer, EFT, cheque, cash, card), including deposits and prepayments · Follow up on outstanding balances and keep accounts receivable current · Process returns and restocking fees, and issue credit memos and inventory adjustments · Resolve pricing or line-item questions with customers before invoices go out Inventory · Help with regular stock counts so that warehouse quantities match the system What we're looking for · Fluent English, plus Mandarin or Cantonese. Most of our customers do business in Chinese, so this is required. · Comfortable with everyday math: square footage, box and roll conversions, totals and discounts · Careful with details such as product codes, quantities, units and payment amounts · 1+ year using accounting or order-entry software · Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite is a strong asset · Experience in building materials, flooring, hardware or a retail/trade counter is an asset Benefits · Extended health, dental and vision care · Free on-site parking · On-the-job training on our products and systems How to apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
