Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Fusion SCM Functional QA professional to drive end-to-end functional testing for Oracle Fusion SCM modules—Order Management (OM) and Inventory (INV) as primary focus areas, with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) as a secondary skill.
The role involves validating business-critical SCM processes across Oracle Fusion SCM and integrated non-Oracle SCM applications, ensuring end-to-end process integrity across upstream/downstream systems and integrations. The candidate will also play a key role in Quarterly Oracle Cloud Patch (Release) Testing, including regression planning, execution, defect triage, and release readiness inputs.
Key Responsibilities
1) Oracle Fusion SCM Functional Testing (Primary: OM & INV)
• Perform functional testing for Oracle Fusion SCM with deep expertise in:
• Order Management (OM):
• Order creation, orchestration, fulfilment flow validation
• Holds, cancellations, partial shipments, returns, backorders
• Pricing-related functional validations (as per business rules)
• Fulfilment line status validations, exceptions handling
• Inventory (INV):
• Receiving, put-away, inventory transfers, sub inventory/locator usage
• On-hand validation, reservations, cycle counts, adjustments
• Inventory transaction validations and audit trail checks
• Validate end-to-end SCM scenarios spanning multiple systems/process touchpoints:
• Order capture → fulfilment → shipment confirmation → inventory depletion
• Receipt → stock update → pick/pack/ship readiness → inventory availability
• Validate key configurations/setups from a QA standpoint (as required):
• Inventory organizations, sub inventories, locators
• Order types, orchestration process, fulfilment parameters
• Item attributes that influence OM/INV flow behaviour
2) PLM Functional Testing (Secondary Skill)
• Support testing for Oracle Fusion PLM processes such as:
• Item structure and revision validations
• Change orders and approval workflows
• Lifecycle state transitions and impact analysis
• Validate PLM-to-INV/OM dependencies, ensuring item master accuracy and downstream readiness.
• Understanding of item master, product structures, product lifecycle, change management, and approval workflows.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and regulatory or compliance requirements related to product information.
3) Testing for Non-Oracle SCM Applications
• Execute functional testing for non-Oracle SCM systems/applications integrated with Oracle Fusion SCM (examples: WMS, TMS, custom SCM portals, planning tools, 3PL systems, or internal SCM platforms).
• Validate end-to-end integration and data integrity across Oracle + non-Oracle SCM landscape:
• Transaction handoffs and acknowledgments
• Interface validations (file-based, API-based, middleware-supported flows)
• Error handling, retries, reconciliation, and traceability of transactions
• Coordinate testing with cross-functional teams (SCM business, integration, downstream ops teams) to ensure seamless process continuity.
4) Quarterly Patch / Release Testing (Oracle Cloud Updates)
• Participate in and drive Quarterly Patch Testing activities including:
• Release impact review and identification of impacted OM/INV/PLM areas
• Update and execution of smoke and regression test suites
• Validation of impacted end-to-end SCM integrations
• Defect logging, triage participation, retesting, and closure validation
• Provide release readiness inputs
• Risk areas, execution summary, defect trend analysis, and sign-off recommendations
• Maintain test evidence and audit-ready artifacts for key
