PELHAM AL HERSHEYS ICE CREAM Operations/Warehouse and Customer Service Specialist Hershey Creamery Company is a 132 year old manufacturer of premium quality ice cream with operations in 26 states serving more than 35,000 customers. Known for its quality products and superior customer service, Hershey’s Ice Cream is currently looking for an Operations and Customer Service Specialist for our branch office and warehouse located in Pelham, AL. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY The Operation Manager’s duties include working with the BRANCH MANAGER in the basic operations of the office and warehouse. Your main duties will be to help control the office/branch and assist with inventory control, warehouse duties, daily route delivery planning, general tasks, fleet maintenance, cabinet (freezer) cleaning, and cabinet distribution. You will also be responsible in assisting in the controlling of expenses. You must be proficient with email, google chrome inventory page we use along with typing and using word and excel. You must be able to create and modify truck route delivery schedules, oversee and assign duties to other warehouse staff and organize regular maintenance duties for the warehouse facility. Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required, as you may be required to make small repairs to route trucks and freezers. You must possess an enthusiastic attitude, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and the desire to grow with the company along with providing excellent service to our valued customers. Specific duties can include the daily loading of route trucks, tracking of the freezer inventory in 20 below zero environment, product distribution, cabinet distribution, moving freezers, and other assigned duties by the Branch Manager. This is a hands-on position. You will also be responsible for dropping off and picking up route trucks along with occasional cabinet trucks. You will be required to pass and maintain a DOT Physical in order to do so. CDL’s are not required.
