ediately. It involves all aspects of the duties and responsibilities associated with Customs Clearance/Customs Brokerage, including requesting and receiving information from clients, completing customs clearance documentation, processing import documentation, and supporting internal clients.
You will assist in ensuring that all entries are released, classified, and billed accurately within our established service standards.
This position will also provide cross-functional coverage and support for the Air and Ocean teams during employee vacations, holidays, and other periods of increased workload, as required. The successful candidate must be comfortable working across different clearance functions and adapting to changing operational priorities.
In-office training is required.
After training has been completed, this role will be classified as hybrid, with onsite work mandatory at least 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
• Request and obtain required information and documentation from clients to support customs clearance.
• Complete customs clearance documentation and process import documentation accurately and within established service standards.
• Assist with customs entries, including release, classification, and billing requirements.
• Provide operational support to internal teams and clients as required.
• Provide cross-functional coverage and support for the Air and Ocean teams during employee vacations, holidays, and periods of increased workload.
• Work across different clearance functions and adapt to changing operational priorities.
• Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and timely processing while managing varying volumes of work.
Essential Qualifications
• Minimum 1–2 years of customs clearance experience
• CCS certified or currently in progress
• Commitment to exceptional customer service
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional demeanor, flexible attitude, and ability to efficiently multi-task
• Well-developed analytical and time management skills
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and meet tight deadlines
• Basic knowledge of Customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments is an asset
• Flexible schedule is an asset
• Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role
