Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a number of different departments within the company to ensure a smooth and efficient daily workflow. Key Responsibilities: Receiving and processing orders in a timely and efficient manner, including accurate data entry of all purchase orders, scheduling of required logistics and processing of customs documents for export shipments. Manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods. Troubleshoot transport issues as they arise. Liaise with suppliers, customers, 3rd party warehouse, freight companies and customs brokers on a daily basis via emails, phone calls and internet portals to communicate information/resolve issues/negotiate freight rates. EDI invoice processing / ASN entries for EDI orders. Handle other office and administrative tasks including but not limited to answering the telephone, filing, ordering supplies, opening mails, etc. Qualifications: Proven experience in operations support and sourcing/arranging freight with multiple carriers is a must, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software/systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail with a strong ability to problem-solve. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management practices is a plus. General knowledge of QuickBooks would be an asset. · Time management and organization skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is a must along with strong verbal, and written skills.
