We work onsite with our team based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Juneau, Wisconsin. Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.


Internship anticipated to occur in May, 2026 through August, 2026.


What You’ll Do:

As an Operations Supply Chain Intern, you play a key role in learning and helping improve the daily operations and strategic projects that keep our manufacturing supply chain running efficiently. You work closely with cross-functional teams—including procurement, mfg production, distribution, logistics, and quality—to ensure materials, information, and finished goods flow seamlessly through our processes with safety quality delivery and cash outcomes for the business.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learns, Support, and help improve supply chain planning and scheduling to align material availability with production demands
  • Monitors inventory levels, analyzes material shortages, and assists in implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborates with suppliers and internal stakeholders to track purchase orders and ensure on-time deliveries
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends, process bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing lead times and optimizing resource utilization
  • Prepares and maintains reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for supply chain operations
  • Assists in the documentation and standardization of supply chain processes and workflows
  • Contribute to cross-functional meetings to support production planning and project updates
Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is not required and a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and process improvement
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
  • A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
  • Basic task and Project management Skills
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs) 

Not Required but Nice to Have!

  • Prior Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Coursework or experience in logistics, procurement, or production planning
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Domo, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Basic understanding of supply chain analytics or forecasting models
