Operations Senior Manager

Operations Senior Manager This position will be responsible for the overall warehouse operation, including safety, employees, inventory, productivity, customer service, operating costs, and daily performance. This position will also help find and develop new customers who need warehouse and logistics services. The person in this role will work with current customers, potential customers, vendors, and internal teams to improve warehouse operations and bring in new business. The ideal candidate should have strong warehouse management experience and good communication skill. Department: Operations (1CC) Reports to: COO/HOD Key Responsibilities for Operations Senior Manager : Manage daily warehouse operations at 2CC/3CC across a two-shift schedule Oversee/audit both shifts follow the given warehouse procedures and work standards Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and operational procedures Monitor warehouse storage capacity, product movement, and maintain equipment Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions Establish staffing plans based on volume forecasts and business requirements Manage labor allocation, overtime, attendance, and productivity of contractors Understand customer requirements and make sure to meets those requirement Manage warehouse operating expenses and support annual budgeting Understand customer requirements and make sure to meets those requirement Manage warehouse operating expenses and support annual budgeting Cooperate with Finance and senior leadership to develop cost and pricing models Develop strong relationships with customers and seek for potential growth in sales Set clear KPIs and monitor employee performance Review daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance Secondary Responsibilities for Operations Senior Manager : Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports Maintain a safe warehouse environment in accordance company requirements Identify opportunities to expand services with new/existing customers Resolve customer escalations and develop corrective action plans Lead continuous improvement on productivity, quality, and cost reduction Qualifications for Operations Senior Manager : Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases Leadership skills and ability to manage staff Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Highly focused with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Highly experienced in Microsoft Exel/Powerpoint This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. This position is also eligible for the Automobile Leasing Program. The estimated base salary range for the Operations Senior Manager is $132,000-139,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting.
