Operations & Receiving Lead

About Us Bentonville True Value Hardware is a new, locally owned hardware store seeking a dependable and highly organized Inventory & Receiving Lead. This position is responsible for receiving merchandise, maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring products move efficiently from the delivery truck to the sales floor. This is a hands-on leadership position. The right candidate will be comfortable unloading freight, stocking merchandise, assisting customers and working closely with the Store Manager and owners. Responsibilities: Receive, inspect and verify incoming merchandise. Identify shipment shortages, damages and incorrect items. Process freight claims, defective merchandise and vendor returns. Maintain an organized receiving area and backroom. Direct stocking priorities following deliveries. Perform cycle counts and research inventory discrepancies. Maintain accurate product quantities and shelf locations. Complete price changes, shelf labels and planogram resets. Help train and direct associates during receiving and stocking. Assist customers in locating and selecting products. Operate the register and provide coverage when needed. Serve as an opening or closing keyholder after training. Follow store safety, security and loss-prevention procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Retail, warehouse, receiving or inventory experience preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using computers, inventory systems and handheld devices. Ability to regularly lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Available for early-morning shifts, some evenings and rotating weekends. Dependable transportation and consistent attendance. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their area, notices problems before they become larger issues and is willing to work alongside the rest of the team.
