We are seeking an Operations Quality Engineer to support production quality within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, floor-based role focused on process quality, problem-solving, and continuous improvement—not a desk-based or documentation-only QA position.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure products are produced safely, consistently, and in alignment with plant and corporate quality standards. This role plays a key part in driving corrective and preventive actions, improving process capability, and supporting operational excellence.

Maintain an active presence on the production floor to coach operators and support quality systems
Monitor, analyze, and report key quality metrics and trends
Lead and support corrective and preventive actions related to internal defects and customer claims
Deploy and audit process management standards across critical production processes
Develop and maintain inspection practices and criteria for outgoing product quality
Support incoming quality requirements and supplier quality expectations
Participate in and support quality system audits
Analyze process data to identify opportunities for waste reduction and process improvement
Ensure quality considerations are addressed during process changes and risk assessments
Provide quality-related training to operators and production teams
Collaborate with operations leadership to align quality objectives with production goals
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
1+ year of experience with product or process failure analysis
Ability to work directly on the production floor and engage with operations teams
Strong mechanical and process aptitude
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in metals, materials, chemical processing, or high-volume manufacturing
Knowledge of aluminum alloys, properties, or product applications
Familiarity with casting, rolling, or finishing processes
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF quality systems
Working knowledge of statistical and quality tools (e.g., Minitab)
Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems (e.g., AS400 or similar)
This role is:
Embedded in operations
Process-focused and improvement-driven
Hands-on and floor-based
Collaborative with production and engineering
This role is not:
Traditional inspection-only QA
Primarily documentation or audit-focused
A remote or office-only position
Join a stable, long-standing manufacturing organization with a strong safety and quality culture
Work directly with production teams to drive measurable improvements
Gain exposure to complex manufacturing processes and quality systems
Build a strong foundation in operations-focused quality engineering
Opportunity for growth within a performance-driven manufacturing environment
If you are a process-oriented engineer who enjoys solving real production problems, working closely with operators, and improving quality at the source, we encourage you to apply.
