Mornings, 8 to noon, 20 hours a week guaranteed, more when we're busy, no travel. About Us MariCore is a small defense contractor specializing in shipboard RF waveguide installation, testing, and repair for the U.S. Navy. We work directly for the government and as a subcontractor to major primes. We also supply waveguide materials as a distributor. Ideal Candidate Someone who enjoys structured office work, values consistency, and can operate independently. The Unglamorous Work Part of the job is hands-on, unglamorous, but important: Parts runs and errands. Pick up material from local vendors, drop off shipments, run to the hardware store or bring tools / parts to job sites. Receiving and moving material. Unload deliveries, open boxes, check contents. Fill out incoming inspection paperwork including performing visual inspection. Packing and shipping. Crate, label, and ship material to customers and job sites, several days a month. Print and scan paperwork. Keeping the shop clean. Receiving area, general cleaning, restroom, trash. Primary Job Responsibilities The job comes with a written procedure telling you what to check and when so you are not left to guess at priorities. Material and job readiness is the core of the job Keep material ahead of the schedule. Track open purchase orders against each job's bill of material, confirm lead times, and chase anything running late before it becomes a problem. Receiving inspection. Verify shipments against the packing list, inspect condition, scan packing lists and certificates of conformance. Staging and kitting. Pull, check, and stage material and tools by the job so a crew leaves with everything it needs the first time. Shipyard access. Submit access and badging requests, then work the follow-up list by age until every technician is cleared. Job setup and closeout. Build the job folder and binder up front; assemble completed forms, test data, and certificates at the end so invoicing isn't held up. Scheduling. Maintain the job calendar and technician availability. Tell the owner early when material or access won't be ready for a scheduled date. Paperwork that expires, making sure nothing lapses Calibration and training records. Track calibration due dates on test equipment; keep technician training logs current. Registrations and certificates. Keep SAM.gov and prime supplier portals current; send certificates of insurance to customers and yards; track renewals with our broker. Compliance records. Quality system records, cybersecurity (CMMC) documentation, customer and government representations and certifications. Office Inbox. Triage the shared office inbox; handle routine items, flag what needs the owner. Bills and collections. Pay bills weekly in QuickBooks Online; follow up on late customer invoices. Quote follow-up.
