GFL Environmental is looking for a high-energy Operations Manager to lead our Southern Alberta branch. You will oversee daily operations for a high-volume facility, driving safety, efficiency, and customer excellence. Core Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Provide hands-on direction to drivers and support staff; manage recruitment, training, and performance coaching.

  • Operations: Direct collection and disposal activities; optimize routing, staffing, and equipment utilization for maximum efficiency.

  • Safety & Compliance: Lead the "Safety First" mandate through regular meetings, route observations, and strict regulatory adherence.

  • Financial Performance: Execute branch financial plans, manage costs, and analyze KPIs to exceed productivity targets.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Proven leadership in operations, transportation, or waste management.

  • Expertise: Strong grasp of field-based safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

  • Business Acumen: Experience managing budgets, P&L, or operational performance metrics.

  • Communication: Ability to motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Credentials: Degree preferred; Valid driver’s license required (CDL Class 1 or 3 is a major asset).
