Position Overview:

As an Inventory Control Analyst, you will be involved in a mix of day to day tactical activities. You will be responsible for managing inventory controls through investigating and rectifying inventory discrepancies, working with the Receiving Team Leads on inventory accuracy, and leading the administration of inventory counts.

Job Description:

  • Running of daily reporting  and executing daily tasks related to reviewing inventory discrepancies.
  • Help facilitate the return of obsolete inventory.
  • Manage Inventory Control with the Receiving Team Leads by analyzing inventory accuracy and transactions including adjustments accuracy, and developing process improvements and giving direction on resolving inventory inaccuracies.
  • Problem solve with the receiving team to correct immediate inventory errors (overages, not being able to process parts shortages, package errors).
  • Coordinate with multiple teams throughout the organization to correct or investigate missing shipments.
  • Lead in the administration of inventory counts, annual inventory counts, as well as in the analysis and corrective action of count variances. Identify and make recommendations for corrective action based on count findings.
  • Investigate emergent inventory variances to determine both immediate and long-term resolution.
  • Checking stock for service letters or any quality issues as they arise.
  • Provide accurate, relevant, and timely distribution of requested reports.
  • Understands and adheres to Finning policies and procedures, including safety.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or related work experience in inventory an asset.
  • Previous related work experience is an asset.
  • Experience in OEM parts department roles and inventory control an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office, advanced knowledge in Excel.
  • Understanding of inventory control processes, systems, and polices.
  • Understanding of parts and purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Physical position, walking to and from different areas is a must.

  • This position is a temporary role expected to last approximately 18 months
  • This position is based out of our Edmonton OEM Remanufacturing facility
  • Monday - Friday, 5x2 schedule
