GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  

Responsible for the operational aspects of 24-hour a day 7-day a week Adult Residential Services Programs. Responsible for Facilities, supply management, scheduling, and other administrative aspects of managing residential services under the direction of the Director of Residential Services. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:  

  1. Manages standard facility operating procedures including but not limited to:
    1. Maintaining facility documentation required for accreditations and safety (e.g. safety logs, fire drills)
    2. Leads preparation efforts for facility audits under direction of department director and director of EHS.
    3. Point person for contact with contractors for linens, cleaning services, etc.
    4. Liaison between residential services and EHS to coordinate facility-related projects and activities.
  2. Manages ordering and inventory management of food, medical, and operational supplies in conjunction with unit clerks, purchasing, facilities, and nursing departments.
    1. Ensures food safety protocols are followed and oversees food service operations.
  3. Oversees department scheduling:
    1. Creates, maintains, and reports on scheduling templates
    2. Time-off request coverage
    3. Works with director and coordinators for coverage for call-offs and documentation.
    4. Consistent daily staffing
  4. Supports continuous department quality improvement and program initiatives:
    1. Supports data entry and reporting
    2. Supports all administrative components of quality improvement initiatives.
  1. Coordinates with HR and IT for all on- and off-boarding processes.
  2. Manages staff compliance with trainings, performance evaluations, licenses, and credentialing requirements with assistance from coordinators and HR.
  3. Assists Director with compliance with:
    1. policies and procedures
    2. applicable federal, state, and local standards, rules, and regulations
    3. expectations regarding risk management
    4. standards for customer service and accessibility
  4. Assists Director and collaborates with Coordinators to implement department initiatives and projects.
  5. Other related duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  1. Previous experience in the management and delivery of community health services.
  2. Ability to achieve and maintain certification in required training programs.
  3. Ability to review data and analyze and produce written and electronic reports.
  4. Ability to relate to people with a variety of age, sex, economic, sexual orientation, race, ability, educational, and professional backgrounds.
  5. Ability to travel between service facilities.
  6. Ensure services area compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and requirements.
  7. Ability to monitor timely completion of documentation.
  8. Effectively and legally manage onboarding, training, and evaluation of staff.
  9. Ability to apply risk management and problem-solving techniques to clinical/workplace situations.
  1. Comprehends and contributes to Quality Assurance/Improvement initiatives and assures standards are met.
  2. Ability to work effectively as a part of a team.
  3. Demonstrates broad system management skills.
  4. Assures adherence to agency policies, procedures, and other expectations.
  5. Seeks opportunities to develop leadership skills.
  6. Demonstrating effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  7. Understanding of basic food storage and food safety management.
