We partner with artists and brands to manage eCommerce fulfillment, wholesale distribution, inventory, and special merchandise projects. Our warehouse supports a high volume of SKUs and fast-moving priorities, so accurate receiving and inventory control are essential to everything we ship. The Role We are hiring a hands-on Operations Manager to lead both Receiving and Inventory. This person will own the movement and accuracy of inventory from the moment it arrives at the dock through receiving, quality control, putaway, storage, replenishment, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution. This is a hands-on, systems-driven warehouse leadership role. The manager will spend significant time both on the warehouse floor and working in ShipHero, Excel, and AI tools. Strong technical aptitude is important, including the ability to learn software independently, analyze operational data, build clear workflows, and use systems to create accountability and visibility. You will lead a receiving and inventory team, establish daily priorities, enforce process discipline, investigate failures to root cause, and rebuild confidence in inventory accuracy. What You Will OwnReceiving Operations Manage inbound receiving from vendors, manufacturers, clients, carriers, and transfer locations. Verify purchase order or shipment information, SKUs, quantities, product condition, packaging, and required services before inventory is finalized. Ensure compliant receipts are completed within established service levels and non-compliant receipts are documented, communicated, and resolved promptly. Oversee staging, labeling, quality control, special handling, and putaway so inventory moves efficiently from the dock into active locations. Maintain an organized, safe receiving dock and staging area with clear ownership and status visibility. Inventory Control Own inventory accuracy across pick locations, reserve storage, pallets, and other warehouse locations. Build and manage cycle count schedules, inventory audits, location checks, and corrective-action plans. Investigate shortages, overages, mislocations, duplicate inventory, unidentified product, damaged goods, and other discrepancies to root cause. Use transaction history and physical verification to determine whether failures occurred during receiving, putaway, movement, replenishment, picking, or system processing. Ensure inventory adjustments are accurate, supported, approved when required, and paired with process corrections that prevent recurrence. Maintain disciplined location control, replenishment practices, and warehouse organization. Team Leadership and Accountability Lead, train, coach, and hold receiving and inventory employees accountable for accuracy, productivity, attendance, conduct, and follow-through. Set daily priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and adjust labor as inbound volume and warehouse needs change. Create clear roles, standard work, training materials, and measurable expectations for the team. Address performance or process failures promptly and professionally rather than allowing problems to become normal practice. Partner with Fulfillment, Client Operations, and warehouse leadership to resolve blockers and keep inventory and orders moving. Systems Data and Process Improvement Use ShipHero as the operational source of truth for receiving, inventory movements, locations, replenishment, counts, adjustments, and discrepancy research. Build and maintain Monday.com workflows that show ownership, status, deadlines, exceptions, and required follow-up. Use Excel to reconcile data, analyze discrepancies and trends, track performance, and create clear operational reporting.
