We run daily live auction shows featuring NeeDoh, LamaTama, Squishy Bun, Scrunchems and other collectible toys, and we ship every order the same day from our shop in Southern Oregon. We are growing from one live show a day to three and building the team that makes it happen. Small crew, clear roles, real numbers on the wall. Job Summary We are hiring an Operations Manager to run the day-to-day operations of a growing live-selling toy business on Whatnot. You will manage a crew of live show hosts and packagers across multiple daily shows, own inventory and shipping supplies, handle customer support and escalations, keep the show calendar booked weeks ahead, and manage labor to a clear target. This is a floor-level management role: you are not tied to a single team, you move to wherever the day needs you, and you step into any seat when someone is out. You will report directly to the owners and run the weekly numbers with them. Responsibilities Staff and schedule all live-selling teams; publish the weekly crew schedule and manage shift coverage and time off Keep five weeks of live shows scheduled in Whatnot at all times Own inventory: receiving, on-hand counts, the monthly physical inventory count, and keeping the inventory records accurate after each show Manage shipping and packaging supplies (boxes, labels, inserts) and place vendor orders within the approved budget Handle all customer messages and support escalations, including refunds, damaged items, shipping disputes, and Whatnot support tickets Run the daily, weekly, and monthly operating checklists; open and close the shop Approve time cards and keep timekeeping accurate Track labor as a percentage of sales and hold it at or under the labor goal; review weekly sales, labor, and show analytics with the owners Review automated daily and weekly reports (labor projections, show analytics, sales analytics, customer support summaries) and act on them Cover any host or packager seat when needed; train new team members on our checklists and standards Make sure every show starts on time and every order ships the same day Requirements 2 or more years of experience supervising a team in retail, warehouse, fulfillment, restaurant, or a similar operations setting Experience managing a schedule and a labor budget Comfortable with spreadsheets and business software; able to learn Whatnot Seller Hub, Gusto, and QuickBooks Online quickly Strong written and verbal communication; calm and professional with upset customers and clear with a crew Organized and self-directed; able to run written checklists and hold others to them Willing to work hands-on and fill in on the packing line or on camera when needed Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications Experience with e-commerce fulfillment, USPS shipping, and inventory management Experience with live-selling platforms (Whatnot, TikTok Shop) or social commerce Experience processing payroll or using Gusto and QuickBooks Online Experience with a small, growing business where you built the process as you went Physical Requirements Mix of desk and shop floor; lifting up to 50 pounds when receiving inventory or covering the packing station. Schedule Five days per week, eight-hour shifts (40 hours per week). Currently Monday through Friday, day shift. Hours are built around the daily show schedule. May include Saturday work when needed.
