Operations Manager – Electrical Distribution

We are conducting a search for an established electrical distributor seeking an experienced Operations Manager for its Charlotte, NC operation. This opportunity is ideal for an electrical-distribution professional with a strong background in leadership, inventory management, customer service and day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will oversee operational activities, support and lead a team of employees, coordinate inventory and supply-chain requirements, and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations, inventory management and customer service activities. Lead, support and communicate effectively with team members to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Serve as a key point of contact for customer management, building and maintaining strong professional relationships. Coordinate purchasing, product sourcing, order fulfillment and inventory availability. Monitor inventory accuracy, service levels and overall operational performance. Work closely with customers and internal personnel to resolve issues and ensure timely service. Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and strengthen existing customer relationships. Support continued business growth as the operation expands. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical distribution working for a distributor, rep or manufacturer We would also be open to someone in a managerial position at an electrical contracting firm. Experience in branch operations, inventory management, industrial account management or integrated supply programs. Strong working knowledge of electrical products, terminology and distribution practices. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers and senior management. Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a customer-focused environment.
