Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Manager, serving as an Assistant Store Manager, to lead our retail team with enthusiasm and strategic insight. Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management. Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing ongoing training and development to enhance team performance. Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, purchasing, merchandising, and stock replenishment strategies. Implement sales management techniques to meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring excellent customer service standards. Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting tasks to maintain operational efficiency and financial accuracy. Coordinate shift schedules and manage team assignments to ensure smooth store functioning during all hours of operation. Foster a positive work environment by utilizing strong managerial communication skills and promoting teamwork and employee orientation. Skills Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling procedures. Excellent negotiation, sales management, and customer service skills to build lasting client relationships. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team management, training & development, and operational oversight. Proficiency in retail math, basic accounting principles such as bookkeeping and budgeting, and organizational skills. Effective communication skills including phone etiquette and managerial communication to motivate staff and engage customers. Familiarity with retail industry sales techniques, merchandising strategies, pricing policies, and stock control measures.
